Dr. David Young
Co-Director
Dr. David Young is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Education at St. Francis Xavier University, Director of the Frank McKenna Centre for Leadership, and a Resident Fellow of the Brian Mulroney Institute of Government. Dr. Young is the past Chair of the Department of Curriculum and Leadership, and he previously served as Chair of the Inter-University Doctoral Program in Educational Studies. Dr. Young’s research is focused on the broad topic of educational administration and policy. More particularly, his current writing deals with issues pertaining to law and education. Dr. Young is the co-author of Policy Matters: Perspectives, Procedures, and Processes (2023), co-editor of Readiness for the Field: Perspectives from Within the Triangle of Teacher Education (2018), editor of Education Law in Canada: A Guide for Teachers and Administrators (2017), and co-editor of Teaching Online: Stories from Within (2014).
